We all know it: the alarm clock goes off too early, it's pitch dark outside, and it's also very cold. We look in the mirror and - also that - where a hairstyle should actually be, the strands stick out in all directions. A classic bad hair day. Our go-to hairstyle for days when the hair just doesn't sit there: the ponytail. And influencer Xenia Adonts now gives us the perfect inspo with her look from Fashion Week, how the ponytail looks particularly stylish.
Xenia Adonts usually wears her blonde hair open and wavy or pinned up in a messy bun. But at Paris Fashion Week, the influencer wore a strict ponytail that not only looks super elegant but is also absolutely suitable for everyday use. Xenia styled a cool sheath dress in black and white, gold creoles, and pointed pumps with a silver cap for the ponytail. As a color accent, she uses a small shoulder bag in pink. Hot! But see for yourself...
1. Prepare your hair: The smoother the hair, the easier it is to style a strict ponytail. So feel free to use a straight hair conditioner after washing, let it sit, and then wash it off completely. Then comb your hair well.
2. Straighten hair: Now apply heat protection to the hair and wait until it is completely dry. Divide the hair into sections (between 1 and 3 cm wide) and start straightening the first section. For a particularly smooth result, take a stick comb and slowly comb from the hairline towards the ends of the hair. You guide the straightening iron close to the comb. Repeat the process for all sections of your hair.
3. Style your ponytail: To get a perfect high ponytail, you gather your hair upside down in one hand. With the other hand, brush your hair back along with your head so that there are no bumps on the parting. Then fix the braid with a hair elastic as close as possible to the scalp. Then fix the ponytail and your roots with some hairspray.
4. Hide the hair tie: The special twist on Xenia's hairstyle is that the hair tie is hidden with the help of hair. To do this, part a small strand from the ponytail. Now wrap the strand around the hair elastic until it has completely disappeared underneath. Then pin the end of the strand of hair under the ponytail. Preferably with a clip that is the same color as your hair. Set with hairspray and voilà - that's how quickly a bad hair day turns into a super elegant look.
