"So when you use a purple pigment on colored brass or yellow tones, it corrects the hue of your hair and gives it back its former natural or neutral brightness with cooler tones." While purple shampoos are especially popular with blondes, they can also be used to freshen up gray or brunette hair with golden highlights.
How and how often should you use a silver shampoo?
To use a silver shampoo, wet the hair and lather the formula. "Don't apply it on dry hair as the hair is more porous and will absorb too much of the lilac tone," cautions Kandasamy. Once the color is evenly applied, leave it on for two to four minutes, depending on how many shades of brass or yellow there are in the hair. "Use cool water to rinse out the shampoo, which will help close the cuticle and seal in the color."
