In the past year, rather unusual haircuts and coloring techniques have become a trend. Thanks to lockdown boredom, many of us have become more willing to experiment, and more and more trends from the 90s and 00s are coming back to life. For example the two-tone technique.
Christina Aguilera was one of the best-known wearers of the trend hairstyle at the beginning of 2000: the singer wore black strands underneath her light blond strands - two different tones in her hair. And Dua Lipa also showed himself again with two tones last year. In order to become the hairstyle trend in 2021, it is now getting a little update...
So far, an increasingly important part of the two-tone look: The lower strands must be very dark, the contrast strong. But why not just turn it around?
This year the eye-catching trend hairstyle is going to be lighter at the bottom than at the top. This not only gives it a fresh update, but it also becomes a bit more restrained - and therefore more suitable for everyday use. Because to be honest, not so many dare to approach the crass classic two-tone look.
But if the lower strands are only slightly lighter than the upper strands, the contrast is no longer as strong and the look is much more natural. Still noticeable enough. After all, thanks to the sun, the outer hair is usually lighter, so the look is not "too" natural either.
Tip: The effect comes into its own in a braid or an updo - and it is very likely that it will become a huge hairstyle trend in 2021.
