A bun but somehow not a bun either - that's the half bun! Ideal for days when you can't decide whether you want to wear your hair open or tied up. The hairstyle instructions are available here.
The half bun is the more modern counterpart to the classic bun. Instead of tying all of the hair into the bun, only the top hair is tied up. Sounds complicated? With our step-by-step instructions, you can get the hairstyle done in no time.
In the first step, the top hair is separated from the rest of the hair. The best way to do this is to split off with your finger: Simply use your finger to separate the sections of hair on the right and left sides.
Now the separated sections of hair are tied into a high braid.
Then twirl the braid and twist it into a bun.
Now secure the bun with a couple of bobby pins. If some strands don't quite play along, that's no problem at all.
The finished half-bun not only looks interesting, but it also keeps annoying hair out of your face. For an even longer hold, simply add a layer of hairspray!
