We are twin fringes, born under the sign of the curtain...
The curtain bangs have to worry about because there is competition in the hair... In 2022, it is its little sister, the bottleneck bangs, which promises to appear on all fronts. But what is the difference between the two? Longer, easier to maintain, cooler, bottleneck bangs do everything better than curtain bangs and that's why they promise to seduce more than one.
As celebrity hairstylist Tom Smith explains to our colleagues at Glamor UK, the new fringe star is inspired, as its name suggests, from the neck of a bottle: "to make bottleneck bangs, the idea is to start by cutting short in the middle, then to create a curvature that encircles the gaze, while following the line of the cheekbone ". A technique that not only allows you to adjust the length of the two strands and their "inclination", depending on whether you want your cheekbones to appear wider or more rounded. It is therefore the ideal hairstyle to soften a face or on the contrary, give it more structure and definition.
To adopt it, however, you will have to succeed in making yourself understood by your hairdresser so that he does not get confused and that you do not come out of the salon with a curtain fringe. This is why it will be essential to start by asking for a long fringe, which touches your cheekbones and whose tip ends more or less at the level of your jaw. Once the base has been drawn, it can go to the gradient which consists in shortening the middle as if to form a straight fringe which then lengthens on the sides.
