Complexed by your plump cheeks, your broad forehead, or your square jaw? What if a simple haircut could change everything? The proof with this slideshow inspired by the stars.
What cut if I have a round face?
Do you have an infant's face? Full cheeks and round cheekbones? Get inspired by stars who have the same face shape: Selena Gomez, Kirsten Dunst, or Jennifer Lawrence on the front line. Like them, opt for a wavy cut (a wavy square for example) to hide the cheeks behind a few strands. You can also play with the volumes: crimping the top of the head will give the illusion of a thinner face. Finally, do not forget to degrade your lengths to avoid the raplapla effect which would highlight your jowls.
Avoid: very long hair, straight and thick bangs, parting in the middle.
What fit if I have a broad forehead?
Do you have a broad forehead or too rounded for your liking? Nature has given you hair, use it! The best solution: bangs. To stay on-trend, choose it tapered or curtain style. If you are allergic to bangs, try asymmetric strand-like Marion Cotillard or Cameron Diaz. It gives the illusion of a smaller forehead without being as big as bangs. Another tip to know: wavy lengths to draw the eye down to the face.
Avoid: short bangs, volume on the top of the head.
What cut if I have a square face?
Do you have protruding jaws? Then again, a pretty haircut can erase this little detail. The preferred hairstyles? A layered and fuzzy cut to soften the square of the jaw. But also long and straight hair to lengthen the shape of the face: this is the (successful) technique of Demi Moore! Finally, a slightly plunging square ball à la Keira Knightley can also do the trick very well: the round side contrasts with the square angles of the jaw, which refines the whole.
Avoid: the fringe, the square very short at the level of the ears.
