Who Wore It Best: Models Vs Celebs

Have you ever watched a runway show or looked through a fashion magazine and thought “It’s beautiful but who could possibly wear this apart from these models?”. Well the answer is – celebs. Ok, and some pretty rich people who can afford it. But here’s the thing, most of the time you need a big occasion to wear some of these runway outfits. It’s not like you’re just gonna go to Starbucks wearing a designer dress. It would be such a waste. So celebs get them modeled to their perfect proportions and wear these dresses for all sorts of events and red carpets. But here’s a question I’ve been wondering about for a while. Who wears these dresses best – models or celebs? Let’s take a look, shall we?

1. Zendaya

It’s really hard to tell who wore it best in this one. Both the model and Zendaya look amazing in this dress from the spring 2018 couture collection.

2. Blake Lively

This one is difficult to decide for a whole different reason. But Blake Lively looks stunning!

3. Gal Gadot

This lovely floral dress from the Spring 2016 couture collection looks a bit better on the model than it does on Gal Gadot, but only because Gal Gadot choose to pose next to a very dark batman sign. We’re sure that if she wore it out and about on a summer day it would look a thousand times better.

4. Jennifer Lopez

J Lo totally rocks this yellow dress from the fall 2015 couture collection way better than the model. It drowns the model, while J Lo looks absolutely ravishing and radiant in it. Let’s be real, this dress was meant for someone with curves and J Lo is the perfect candidate.

5. Dua Lipa

This pink fluffy dress from the spring 2018 couture collection looks very different on a model than it does on Dua Lipa, doesn’t it? I mean it looks pretty innocent and fun on the model, but Dua Lipa makes it look a bit sexy, or is that just me?

6. Lily Collins

Let’s just say Lily Collins bring this dress to life. It looks stunning on a model, but very much like a Barbie doll dress you wouldn’t even know how to move in. On Lily Collins it looks amazingly chic and elegant and somehow effortless? She just looks like a modern day Cinderella in it.

7. Gigi Hadid

The model wearing this dress from the fall 2016 couture collection was styled with a belt and a hat, but Gigi chose to wear it with heels, no belt and a loose Hollywood waves. Classy choice, Gigi, but does it look better on the model? Kinda. But only because we prefer the edgier style that they went for on the runway.

8. Chrissy Teigen

It’s hard to choose with this one. Both Chrissy and the model look amazing in this dress from the 2015 spring couture collection and Chrissy styled it the exact same way. Even her hairstyle looks similar to the model. Let’s just say they both pulled off this look well.

9. Kristen Bell

Kristen Bell is way too short to be wearing floor length poofy dresses like this. Sure, she got it tailored for her height, and she does look very nice in it, but this is one of those times where we think the model looks better in it. Maybe if it was knee length or not as poofy Kristen would win.

10. Sara Sampaio

While they were really trying for an edgy look with the model, it still looks a bit meh. Sara Sampaio, however, really made this dress work for her, showing off those perfect long legs. She looks stunning, don’t you think?
