Silk scarves are again very popular. How are they now worn and where can you find the most beautiful models? Here you get all the answers.
We love the silk scarf!
The silk scarf, also known as a foulard, is one of the absolute classics among accessories. It is counted among the most elegant and exclusive pieces of clothing in the world and can look back on a long history. Silk production was once a closely guarded secret of the Chinese court. According to a legend, the wife of the emperor discovered the magical work of silk worms, also known as mulberry caterpillars. The Chinese emperor initially did not want to share this wonder of nature with the world. But since the noble silk fabric made it from China to Khotan, today's Afghanistan, on to India, Korea, Japan, and all over the world 1900 years ago, many fashion fans have been enjoying the fine fabric to this day. Today, silk fabrics are becoming more affordable and even making it into mainstream fashion. Right at the forefront: the silk scarf.
The silk scarf is the trend accessory of our time. We find it in the current fashion trends as well as a trendy hair accessory. We see the classic in many collections and also on famous heads, for example here on our German street style queen Caro Daur. She presents her silk scarf from Louis Vuitton on the sidelines of the Fashion Week in Milan 2020. The great designers of this world are especially known for their silk scarves. These included Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Etro - but it was made famous by the French label Hermès, which launched its first designs in 1937 and thus not only made French women big fans.

Tying silk scarves is made super simple and easy. You can quickly find video tutorials online in case you need any help. The steps are actually pretty self-explanatory. Let's look at how cool you can use the silk scarf.
The silk headscarf is easy to tie. It not only protects the hair from wind and weather but is now really popular. Halve the silk scarf in the middle and fold it into a triangle. Place the longest side on the forehead and tie the two tips together behind the head.

This variant is best for beginners: simply tie the silk scarf around as a small scarf. It can sit loosely and throw wrinkles. Leonie Hanne shows how it's done:
