You can see braids everywhere: At Hailey Bieber, Gigi Hadid, and all the other fashion and beauty professionals. So it's no wonder that the trend hairstyle gets a little update every now and then. While Gigi's Bubble Braids caused quite a stir recently, another cool variant is now coming around the corner: the so-called rope braids.

The rope pony has been a trendy hairstyle for a long time: With the ponytail, two thick strands are wrapped around each other so that a tight braid is created that is similar to the classic braid. But that also works with two smaller braids - and looks really cool:

For the new Skims campaign, model Yumi Nu got the trendy hairstyle from celebrity stylist Sabrina Porsche. In the classic Pippi Longstocking fashion, the braids sit high on the head. The only difference is that they are not braided, but intertwined like a rope - hence the name Rope Pony.

And that actually looks really cool! The (literal) twist makes the hairstyle look much fresher and a bit more adult than the classic version. With the model's long hair, the look also looks particularly beautiful and is a bit reminiscent of the sleek ponytail à la Kim Kardashian.

But the best thing about the trend hairstyle is that it is super easy to style. It only takes a few tries to make it look like the star stylist herself has lent a hand...
