Makeup Trends From The Runway In Autumn 2023: Eyeliner Like Dior, Etro And Isabel Marant

In addition to accurately drawn eyeliner lines in deep black under and over the eyes, more subtle eyeliner variants will also be important in the autumn and winter seasons of 2021. For example with blue undertones like Christian Dior, with shimmering metallic shades like Etro, or in soft natural tones like Isabel Marant. In the following, we show the favorites of the new make-up trends from the runway and which tricks and products are best for applying make-up.

Make-up trends in autumn 2021: These eyeliner variants are exciting as they are modern

1. Eyeliner in black and blue as at

In line with Christian Dior's autumn/winter couture, make-up icon Peter Philips has created a two-tone eyeliner variant that attracts everyone's attention instantly as if magnetically: accurately drawn cat eyes with the upper eyeliner line in deep black and the lower one in an intense blue is drawn.

How-to: First, completely frame the eyes with the black liner, connecting the top and bottom lines at the corners of the eyes. Then trace the lower line with a creamy eye shadow or an eyeliner in your favorite blue and paint over it until the lower eyeliner is wider than the upper one. Work in several layers until the desired color is achieved. "For a particularly soft effect, I then gently blended the blue underliner downwards and outwards with a soft brush," reveals Peter Philips via Instagram.

2. Etro metallic make-up trend

Black lashes and a kohl line (also black) are classics when it comes to the frame of the eyes. However, if you take a closer look here, you will immediately understand why the Etro eyeliner look still looks more sensual and precious: In addition to the black kohl, the lower edge of the eyelid has been shaded with a metallic eye shadow, the powder-fine metallic particles of which provide subtle light reflections.

How-to: First, frame the eyes as usual; So trace the waterline of the upper and lower lid contour with black kohl and apply black ink to the lashes. Then in a second (and for this variant essential) step, generously trace the lower edge of the eyelid with a powder eyeshadow in shimmering taupe. Finally, dab some balm (or highlighter) on the upper eyelid and complete the shimmering eyeliner look.

3. Make-up in natural tones like Isabel Marant's

Isabel Marant did not use the classic eyeliner or kohl pencil, instead, the eyes were framed with eye shadow in soft natural tones - individually tailored to the respective hair color and skin tone, so that the framing of the eyes was as soft and subtle as possible.

How-to: Use an eye shadow of the same color to delicately trace the contours of the upper and lower eyelids until the desired effect is achieved. Leave out the inner corners of the eyes. To find the ideal tone, eyeshadow palettes are helpful; Choose a matt or shimmering texture as you like and/or combine several nuances with each other. Then apply a natural shade to the eyelashes.
