Not only thanks to skin-tight corsages and new leather looks, head designer Nadège Vanhée-Cybulski is once again rejuvenating the image of Hermès with the new collection; The casual hairstyles are also part of this strategic “makeover”. Because everything that wasn't cut in a modern way to a pixie cut or a chin-length blunt bob seemed to have been put into romantic braided curls and waves overnight.
Smooth at the top, curled and creped at the bottom: braided curls like those at Hermès are now a trend.
A look that at first seems almost childish and careless, but in combination with the corresponding make-up looks and accessories, it is extremely modern, lovely, and rocky at the same time. The best thing about it: Braided curls, like those made by Hermès, can easily be made overnight, with the following tricks and products...
Braided curls in the style of the 80s. With smooth blunt bangs.
What looks to be done quickly at first glance is actually made up of two hairstyle parts and several styling steps. Because while the lengths and tips look small and curled, the top hair (like the bangs) has been smoothed and groomed to a shine. A look that has to be prepared in the evening, lays in your hair overnight, and only gets its retro finish in the morning.
In the evening, wash, condition, brush, and dry your hair as usual. Then comb everything into a neat middle parting and braid the sides into tight braids, just like when you were a child. For more suppleness and shine, care for the hair with rich conditioners, and before braiding the braids, add a special curling fluid to the hair to make the curly look last longer. Just leave the braids in your hair overnight and (just like then) go to sleep with them.
Tip: If you want a look in which the transition from straight to curly is marked by a wave that looks as if it is ironed into your hair, you should not only tie the braids together with a rubber band at the tips but also at the top of the base (like a Gymnast braid). For tiny curls to the tips, the braids are braided as far as possible into the hair; If you find it more casual if a few centimeters remain straight below the curls, you don't braid the hair right through to the end and tie the elastic further up in the braid.
In the morning, carefully loosen the braids, loop by loop, starting from the tips in the direction of the hairline and fanning them out with spread fingers - do not (!) Brush or comb. If necessary, smooth frizzy, dry tips with a little tip fluid or hair oil and whirl them in.
Finally, brush the top hair down with a soft brush and the bangs (if available) into the forehead. Spray the finished trend look all over with a glossy spray.
Tip: For a particularly modern look, combine the hair trend with dramatic eyeliner and jewelry in XL size - as seen at Chanel in the autumn collection.
