Changing length is a cap. The apprehension is always present: is it or not a good idea. To help you make a choice and be sure that the short haircut will suit you, we have found the surefire trick that will give you the courage to go to the hairdresser or not.
The short haircut is one of the key trends for this year 2021. Boyish, square, or even bob cut, new hair products are bursting with one thing in common: short hair.
So why should you not fall for this fashion too? To help you, here is the tip to know before taking the plunge.
Because yes, there is now a method to find out what your ideal hair length is.
Remember this method, called the 2.25 inch rule, which can be translated as 5.7 cm.
It is the hairdresser John Frieda who is at the origin of this idea. To tell the truth, this new method relies, according to him, entirely on the right proportion of volumes.
We already knew the hair contouring which consisted in adapting the coloring of the hair of the face either to soften it, to lengthen it, or to refine it. From now on, the method of the London hairdresser is also added to the list. The goal? balancing the cut according to the face, it's all about the angle.
To start, get a ruler and a pencil. Then position the pencil horizontally under the chin.
Next, place the zero of the ruler under your earlobe vertically. Thus, the ruler and the pencil should form a right angle. Finally, take the indicated measurement.
Look at your result. If you get a measurement of less than 5.7cm, you are meant to have short hair. Conversely, if this measurement is greater than 5.7 cm, long hair is more suited to your face.
