Want to change your mind about the start of the school year? Long or short hair, locks, bangs, two-tone coloring, flamboyant red or polar blond, get inspired by our 40 trendy hairstyle ideas for winter 2021.
Winter 2021 will mark the advent of long hair without context. So, to be trendy, we take inspiration from people and follow a few tips to keep them healthy.
The hair is styled with a round brush for a wavy effect - but natural! A few strands are used with a curling iron at the mid-lengths to structure the whole.
Again, the mid-lengths are worn curly, for more volume at the bottom of the hairstyle.
This time, the hair is dried naturally with the fingers, after applying a styling mousse, for a natural hippy chic effect.
For a discreet styled-disheveled effect, you can also opt for a natural brushing.
A 1950s-inspired hairstyle where the lengths are left loose and part of the hair tucked in at the back, for XXL volume.
This winter 2021, the hair is worn long ... or short, without half measures. Boyish cuts are often embellished with straight bangs or side strands, for added femininity.
A daring ball cut, made with graphic lines and perfectly smoothed.
The boyish cut is here unstructured and worn with irregular bangs, for a rock inspiration.
Here again, the bangs are essential, for more femininity. The lengths of the top of the head are preserved, the neck and sides shorter, to avoid a too classic rendering.
Those who are no longer fond of their locks or their bangs can also rock it up, using a hairdryer and a spray.
This year again, on short or long hair, locks and bangs are essential. We wear them slightly unstructured, to bring a touch of pep to the hairstyle.
Bangs, when slicked back, look best with wavy hair.
The bangs are here unstructured and slightly asymmetrical, to better highlight the eyes.
The side strand is degraded on the top of the head and its tapered tips, to give relief to the cut.
A variation, here, since the fringe is worn full and more structured than in the other cuts.
The deceptively neglected look will also be in place this winter. On loose hair or on ties, you don't hesitate to give your hairstyle a blurry look.
An aerial hairstyle, light, the most beautiful effect on long hair. The hair is degraded according to different lengths and the ends left heavy for a better fall.
The styled and tousled effect can also be achieved on a classic short bob, to add tone to the cut. We used a dryer and styling paste for this.
A fairly technical bun to achieve, which we can however draw inspiration from.
The hair, heavy, full, nevertheless takes on an airy appearance thanks to the blurred strands on the top of the bun.
The tousled hairstyle can also be done on a braid. For this hairstyle, the hair has been fully backcombed.
This year again, hairstyle trends give pride of place to waves. Defined curls or wild wavy, each one will then do according to its inspirations.
This rendering, glamorous at will, is obtained with a curling iron. The curls are then undone with the fingers, head forward, for maximum volume.
Added to the wavy effect is the combed-disheveled trend, which brings an airy appearance to the hair.
The hairstyle is performed on naturally very curly hair. A dryer with a loop amplifier is then used to obtain this effect.
The waves, more defined, are made with the fingers, after having applied a cream that defines the curls and a little serum, to separate the locks.
The waves, made with a curling iron, are particularly defined here. Best effect when the hair is tied back.
While waves are still on-trend, ultra-smooth is no exception. While it had been shunned for several seasons, winter 2021 is making a comeback! Note however that, to avoid too strict a hairstyle, the ends must be styled in such a way as to give movement. Find our tips for proper hair straightening here.
The ultra-smooth is here worn over a long bob, lightly layered at the ends to maintain thickness. If the hair is slicked back, the points are worked outwards to give more movement to the hairstyle.
Again, if the hair is ultra-smooth, it is not set in stone. This in-motion hairstyle was styled with a hair straightener with the help of a serum.
On a short hairstyle, ultra-smooth also works best if the hair is framing the face.
To give more movement to an ultra-smooth styling, you can also make a gradient and draw a side part.
Among the flagship colors of this winter 2012, we find, in the lead, blond and red. The first is worn cold, platinum, while the second is chosen flamboyant, even incendiary, and draws red.
This polar blonde has cool, icy tones obtained thanks to the Arctic Light coloring technique offered by Jean-Louis David.
You can also warm up a cold blonde with a few touches of honey blonde.
This flamboyant coppery red is obtained using the Saint-Algue coloring technique known as Satin Reflections, associated with the Copper Color Booster.
Again, several techniques are used to achieve this deep color. First, a Smoky Effect, which blends different shades of red, then a Color Eclat, which enhances shine, followed by a Gingerbread Color Enhancing Treatment which hydrates the hair.
The fiery red is degraded using the Tie & Dye technique, carried out on a medium color, enhanced with a warm reflection.
This coloring was performed with Illumina 7/43 from Wella Professional.
A real novelty this year: the two-tone. Sometimes discreet, sometimes eccentric, it can be worn in strands - vertical or horizontal - or more blurred in the hair. Original, it brings pep to all hairstyles.
The two-tone areas are here melted into the hair. A tawny red trashy balayage has been done here on dark hair, for a rocky look.
Here, the two-tone effect is even lighter. While the root effect was banned in the past, it now takes on its glory if the darker shade is melted into the hair.
The two-tone by Jacques Fourcade
A more eccentric version, which mixes purple with polar blonde - very trendy this season. Again, although the colors are clear, the demarcation is not clear (in a straight line) to energize the hair.
A more classic two-tone, wicking version, that those who don't dare take the plunge with red hair can use, in a nod to the trends of the season.
