Miley Cyrus and Rihanna are among the celebrity ladies who now wear their hair short at the front and long at the back. Is the mullet hype returning?
And suddenly it's back again, the trending haircut of the eighties. Celebrity ladies like Miley Cyrus (28, "Malibu") have already fallen for the mullet cut. The singer was one of the first to perform last year with short hair in the front and long hair on the nape of the neck. Since then, several well-known ladies have followed suit.
One of them: Little Mix singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock (29). The British opted for a fringed cut with points up to the chest. A finish with a slightly wet look gives the hairstyling a modern touch. Meanwhile, model Irina Shayk (35) showed significantly shorter lengths. Her stylist gave her a shoulder-length mullet cut with soft waves that flatteringly frames the face of the native Russian.
Music star Rihanna (33, "Don't Stop The Music") also liked the trendy haircut of the eighties. While she posed with a long mullet variant towards the end of 2020 - sometimes curly, sometimes straight, she is now opting for a much more extravagant look. The head as well as the sides resemble a real short haircut, in the neck, the lengths fall smoothly down.
If you are unsure whether the mullet cut actually suits your own type, you can do it like actress Keke Palmer (27, "Hustlers"). She also tried her luck with the returning trend haircut, but first resorted to a curly wig with eye-catching bangs. Their conclusion: the hairpiece could not withstand the endurance test - as rocky as it was in the eighties.
