Hardly anywhere else was the turn of the year accompanied by so much relief (to leave 2020 behind) and anticipation (for better times) as this year. The new looks and impressions of the international runways act as the drive for this optimism because they reflect the lightness of spring and summer and are already doing you good. You can also learn styling tricks from professionals, including for your hair. After all, there is one thing we all take with us into the new season: last year's haircut! With hair salons closed and quarantine, the next visit to the hairdresser is unreachable, while pixies, bobs, and bangs keep growing out of their cut.
The side parting was the most important trend at Chanel for spring/summer 2021, which can be used as a simple trick when styling has outgrown hairstyles.
The pony is frayed and soon chin length, the steps are barely recognizable? Chanel now delivers the ideal trick for everyone who wants to style their hair perfectly in the home office: a sleek look combed to the side and pinned as a hairstyle trend. Works for every hair length from pixie to long hair and can be done very quickly and in just a few steps. Templates and tips for several hairstyle variants below.
Pixie cut: fix the pony growing out at the side with a hairpin.
First, make an accurate side parting with hairdressing or stick comb. Then comb the section of hair below the parting tightly behind your ear, and curl the upper section over the side of your head and backward. Place the emerging bangs along the hairline around the forehead and pin on the opposite side with a hairpin (matching the color). Individual strands of hair that have already grown chin-length can be given a gentle curl with the help of a curling iron or straightening iron. Flatters the face and gives the hairstyle a romantic look.
Tip: Put some hair oil or gel on the palms of your hands and rub it flat over your hair. Tames frizz and fixes the trend look.
Boyfriend cut and bobs: Lay longer strands in soft waves.
For long bobs and very long hair, the same procedure as just described applies initially, but the basic styling is then supplemented with an additional trick. For this purpose, the medium-length or very long hair is tied deep in the neck into a braid, which then becomes a trendy fake bob. To do this, gently loosen the hair above the braid and pull it out of the braid until it lays itself in a soft curl at about chin level. Pluck behind the ear as desired and fix with a little hairspray so that nothing slips.
Long hair: Tie it up and turn it into a casual fake bob.
Tip: The Chanel hair trick also works with wavy and curly hair! Other styling variants (e.g. with hair accessories) can be discovered in the video of the show...
