Whimsical, picturesque, hypnotic: these words could be used to describe the beauty looks at the Givenchy show spring/summer 2022, which were created by make-up artist Lucia Pieroni. One thing is certain: it was the make-up statement of Paris Fashion Week.

It was almost impossible to take your eyes off those dark eyes that matched the black pieces of summer wardrobe designed by Matthew M. Williams in collaboration with Josh Smith. Decorated with black eyeliner and reinforced with a pair of false XXL eyelashes, the bizarre, large eyes of the models came into their own under the light that looked like a halo in the U-shaped arena.

Ornate rims around the eyes for a theatrical look

The liner initially outlined the eye area, following the almond shape of the eyes and ending about one centimeter below the inner corner of the eye to leave a gap there. This was followed by a multitude of individual, overlapping lines that created an ornate outer lash line. The grandiose result was almost theatrical.
