Find out which 9 habits are ruining the health of your hair, and how to fix them.
Whether long or short, hair is a concern for everyone. We hate that they are too dry, too greasy, or too dull. And we are sorry to tell you, but all these hair problems may be entirely your fault... Discover 9 habits to avoid having healthy hair.
Just like the skin, the hair is sensitive, and repeating some clumsy gestures can seriously damage it. Some habits such as rubbing your hair, tying it up with latex rubber bands, or drying it with a hairdryer are bad habits that we were aware of (or not). While some can be a real shock. We are, for example, so used to dry our hair with a cotton towel that we have forgotten that this material is not ideal. Instead, prefer a microfiber towel with which your hair will dry better and faster.
Our first problem is the scrunchie, some types like latex rubber bands are very aggressive on the hair. Prefer scrunchies or plastic elastics.
After choosing the right scrunchie, avoid tying them in a very pulled way. And also avoid hasty updos where you tangle your hair to tie it up.
It is often full of hair and apart from removing the clump of hair that settles there, not much is done. While on a brush, countless bacteria, dead cells, and dust accumulate. And no one wants all of these things to end up in our hair. To clean it, soak it in soapy water every two weeks.
If you are using blow dryers, curlers or straighteners, remember to protect your hair before with treatment or mist that protects against heat. A bit like at the hairdresser after all.
We forget the hair dryer which, as everyone knows, is not very good for the hair. But wrapping them in a cotton towel isn't great either. The best way to dry your hair is to wrap it in a microfiber towel.
When we get out of the shower and dry our hair, we tend to rub it to remove excess water, but a simple microfiber towel allows it to dry more naturally and quickly.
The more you wash them, the more easily they will get dirty. It's the snake biting its tail.
If you don't have a satin pillowcase, braid your hair before going to sleep to avoid friction.
We know you want to grow your hair out, but it is certainly not by forgetting to cut the ends that you will have beautiful blonde hair. On the contrary, the forks will go up on your lengths and your hair will be far from silky.
