Long hair that falls over the shoulder with a silky sheen is particularly feminine and sexy - at least that's the cliché. However, a new group of haircuts proves once again that even short hair looks wonderfully elegant, modern, and feminine and can definitely do more than just be labeled “boyish” or “brave”.
We have analyzed the hairstyle trends for short hair in autumn 2021 in more detail and present the most important haircuts. They are now particularly popular and inspire with a modern look. In addition, we show hairstyles that are considered a bit outdated and therefore take a break.
The short bob is a great hairstyle trend for anyone who wants to part with long hair but doesn't want to try a shaved haircut right away. The shortest of all bob variants plays around the cheekbones and chin area and thus has a little more length than a classic short haircut. In addition, the short bob is very popular in autumn 2021 and is now preferably combined with long bangs - an interplay that is reminiscent of the casual look of the French women.
On the other hand, the page cut is considered out: It not only sounds a bit old-fashioned but also looks like it due to its asymmetrical line and the steps in the neck. The short bob is definitely a great alternative here that is modern, elegant, and versatile to style.
The pixie cut - named after the fairy figures of English folklore - is one of the classics of short hairstyles and will again be one of the most popular haircuts in autumn 2021. In the new season, however, the pixie cut is getting an update and is now worn in the "outgrown" look. In other words: The hair looks a bit like it has been allowed to grow out for a while. The top hair can therefore be a little longer and casually fall over the forehead. And the sides, as well as the hair on the neck, no longer have to be worn so short with this new hairstyle trend. This gives the pixie a very soft and feminine finish.
On the other hand, the bowl cut - or in German: pot cut - is now definitely outdated. This is characterized by raspy short hair on the neck and sides, the top hair is instead worn longer and cut once around the head. Quite a statement haircut, which we prefer to leave to the Beatles.
Undercuts are very popular with short hair - but then they remind us too much of the look of the 2000s. Also with a retro character, but in contrast to the undercut, now wonderfully modern again, is the so-called pullet. This haircut combines two hairstyle trends in one: Pullet is a word liaison of pixie and mullet and thus already reveals that this is a kind of mullet in a short-haired version.
This means that the top hair is layered and worn with bangs. On the other hand, the hair on the neck and sides is a bit longer and thinner. Very important: The fringed finish of the haircut, which perfectly reflects the rocky 80s charm of the hairstyle trend.
