This is what defines the bandana style

Girls with rather fine and/or particularly light hair know it: Staying in the sun a little longer in summer and whoosh – a sunburn on the head. A cloth over the scalp protects against nasty UV radiation, looks super stylish, and prevents the hair color from fading. And unlike a cap or hat, a tied bandana can withstand any gust of wind. Another advantage: Bandanas are the fashion savior for every bad hair day and greasy roots. Whether you choose a beautiful paisley pattern, plain cloth, polka dots, or a floral print is up to you. The main thing: the bandana covers a large part of your head and is casually tied at the back - in the cool pirate style.

How to tie a bandana in a pirate look?

You can easily tie a hair towel in a pirate look in your open hair. The hair trend also looks particularly casual with a low ponytail or a messy bun. That's how it's done:

  1. Fold your bandana into a triangle by bringing the opposite corners together. If your hair towel is already triangular in shape, you can of course skip this step.
  2. Place the long side of the scarf against your forehead, just above your eyebrows and below your hairline.
  3. Knot the two long ends of the bandana together at the back of your head and pull tight. Tie a second knot over it for security. If you've previously styled a hairstyle, it should be over the bun and sticking out. You can simply let the loose end of the triangle hang down or tuck it under the knot if your hair is loose. And yes!
