Your wedding is fast approaching and you still do not know what beautiful hairstyle to wear? This list is made for you!
Having hair above the collarbone doesn't mean you can't enjoy a gorgeous hairstyle as you walk down the aisle! On the contrary, sporting a cute short haircut can be as stylish (if not more) as long hair. And to prove it to you, discover 15 hairstyles that will inspire you for the big day!
Alison Harper, a hairstylist specializing in bridal hairstyles, gave some advice to our colleagues at Brides magazine to style short hair for the ceremony.
Tip #1: revisit hairstyles for long hair
With your short hair, you can easily imitate long hair hairstyles. For example, if your length allows for a bun, go for it. Short hair offers a lot of possibilities to create breathtaking wedding updos, despite the length. It's even fairly easy to fluff up your bun using styling products or backing your hair back at the roots.
Tip #2: add accessories
If your hair is very short, accessorizing it is a tricky way to turn all eyes on you. Tiaras, headbands, bobby pins, hair clips, and the list goes on and on. For consistency, choose accessories in the style of your bridal outfit.
Tip #3: go for a beautiful hair color
If you're lucky enough to have natural, beautiful hair and still want to make a little change. Play with coloring. You don't have to go from blonde to red, or from brown to blonde. You can simply opt for a few light highlights, for example, which will add character to your hair.
Having short hair doesn't mean you have to give up the veil! Alison Harper, advises placing the veil slightly closer to the forehead. Opt for a veil with a fine metal comb instead of a large plastic one. The hairdresser explains that a fine metal comb veil is easier to slip into a hairstyle when you have less hair. Now that everything is said, all you have to do is choose your hairstyle.
